The MAT architectural and design firm was founded in December 1992 as a limited company.

It is led by Marek Jancelewicz, president, Dr. Zbigniew Pomaz, vice-president.

MAT designs buildings for public use such as office complexes, banks and hotels, sports facilities, industrial buildings and single- and multi-family residences.

MAT offers complete design services based on the requirements of the client. Architectural designs are created in consideration of the client's budget, while maintaining high artistic and technical standards of excellence. Designs are created with the latest in computer technology (AutoCAD and MicroStation), and the firm's organizational procedures allow for close supervision throughout all the stages of the process. The team at MAT is comprised of architects, building engineers and programmers with many years of experience gained both in Poland and abroad. Currently, the firm has 19 full-time employees and cooperates with numerous experts from various fields of specialization. Professionalism is a priority at MAT.

MAT's first projects, realized between 1992 and 1996, include:
  • branch offices of Bank Rozwoju Eksportu S.A. in Gdańsk and Gdynia
  • modernization of Bank Gdański S.A. branch offices in Pruszcz Gdański and Kartuzy
  • Pasaż Królewski Shopping Center in Gdańsk
  • Hotel Bryza in Jurata
  • office-warehouse center in Łomianki k/Warszawa
The firm's next large-scale undertaking was the Puławska Financial Center in Warsaw, a 17-story office building of more than 83 thousand square meters. MAT was responsible for the building permit and execution designs. The building was completed in 1998 at a cost of 130 million USD.

The ING Bank ¦l±ski Business Center at ul. Chorzowska 50 in Katowice was MAT's next project. The firm was responsible for developing the concept for the project as well as the building permit and execution designs. The 15-story, class A office and retail building of nearly 45 thousand square meters was constructed in 1999-2000 for 75.5 million DM.

The headquarters of the Ergo Hestia Group is located on beachfront property in Sopot near the Marina Hotel. Completed in June 2001, this seven-story, class A building was constructed at a cost of 30 million USD. MAT was responsible for all the stages of this project from developing the concept to preparing the execution design.

MAT is currently working on the redevelopment project of the Center of Sopot. Situated between the pier and the lower part of ul. Bohaterów Monte Cassino, this multi-use complex includes the Dom Zdrojowy, a hotel, a retail-service center, an office building with a parking garage and a multi-family residential building. With more than 53 thousand square meters of useable space and a budget of 70 million USD, the project is scheduled for completion in 2003. MAT's team of architects has already completed the conceptual design of the project and is currently working on the building permit design.

The Business Service Center will be built in Poznań between ul. Zwierzyniecka, Roosevelta and Bukowska. This multi-use complex will include a hotel, a modern office-services building and an office building with a combined area of over 40 thousand square meters. The construction of the center is set for 2002-2003 and will cost 59 million USD. The conceptual and building permit designs have both been completed, and preparations are being made to begin construction.
